Sailing journal and photographs from the sailing vessel Cay Player

Nice to hang out on foredeck as our new friends had helm
The wind Wednesday allowed reaches and broad reaches. Unfortunately at one point, we almost jibed accidentally when Barry was going aft, and the boom hit his head. Fortunately it wasn't too hard and not in a critical spot.
Welcome to our sailing journal-blog for the sailing catamaran, Cay Player. She's a 1992 Gemini built by Performance Cruising of Annapolis, Maryland; hull #341 (sail #342). Coincidentally, that's where we originally purchased her and started the voyage down the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) ... although under a different name at that time.
The journal-blog is to the right, started in 2006 and recently we've resumed updating this travelogue. As for the column below, those are just some items that may be interesting, and lower down the "archive". This blog is about not just our boat, but sailing and water-related fun times of all sorts.
Those of you who know us, realize I'm using a "nom de plume" but Barry definitely is Barry!
Hope you enjoy these as much as we do ... it's a voyage that will continue for a long time ...!
