Post-Thanksgiving holiday boats parade, St. John's River, Jacksonville

Many of us gathered at a friend's condo overlooking the St. John's River in downtown Jax, to watch the boat parade and fireworks - here are a couple of photos I took with my iPhone:

We enjoy having friends with us ... here's one who didn't mind taking the helm for a while! He and his wife moved to Massachusetts - glad they had one last great sunshine day in Jax first!

The schooner Virginia - she's a beautiful reconstruction and now used mainly for sailing instruction. Recently docked on the St. John's River in downtown Jacksonville, Florida ... you can find more information including cruising schedule and course information on line.
